The Department of Philosophy and Sociology is one of the oldest departments, considering that sociology originated in the embrace of philosophy and derived social thought from the principles of the philosophy of ancient society. It seeks to provide a distinguished academic program in the educational and social fields that contributes to a comprehensive and deep understanding of social and philosophical issues. The program seeks to achieve the following:
Providing students with objective knowledge and methods of scientific and critical thinking for all aspects of life.

- Developing student skills in using information technology in professional work.
- Providing students with the ability to interpret social situations in a scientific manner.
